25 Taiwanese arrested in Boracay anti-drug sting

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Police arrested on Monday 25 Taiwanese believed involved in illegal drugs and cybercrime operations on Boracay Island.

Members of the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC), the island’s police force, and the provincial Special Weapons and Tactics team arrested the suspects during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Bulabog, Barangay Balabag, on Boracay, at about 7 a.m., according to initial reports reaching the Police Regional Office 6.
